Jaqui Hiltermann, aka Dr Jackal, has a PhD in Media Studies (UCT) specialising in human geography and cultural studies– she’s obsessed with space and place. Ideas keep her up at night.
Jaqui is a writer and natural storyteller with an excellent understanding of how to reach the right audience through a banging concept and the “write” style, structure, and tone.
Jaqui is inspired by queues, what can be observed while walking, and the limitless potential of being observant in everyday life—everyday magic is everywhere.
Herei Hide
Jono Hornby, aka Herei Hide, doesn’t like fanfare or being in the public eye, despite being well-known for his various street art capers. Before he became the street artist that he is, a very young Jono could be found writing on walls and street signs with permanent marker and cheap spray paint. Fast forward a bit, and those same teachers and concerned citizens who were tut-tutting and whispering “scallywag,” now send him fan carrier pigeons.
Jono studied graphic design at DUT and like all good designers, is a natural problem-solver. This comes in handy because Jono is also a natural dreamer, but he’s a rare dreamer who gets things done. Jono has been a mural artist for over a decade and mentors young artists whenever possible. If he can dream it, you will see it.
